Repairs to damaged bridge on Interstate 85 south over Uphapee Creek at milepost 39 in Tuskegee will begin Monday, July 6, at approximately 7 a.m.
The outside lane will be closed for the safety of the crew until repairs are complete. The bridge rail was damaged during a crash on June 17. The contractor expects the work to be completed in two weeks.
Motorists should plan accordingly for delays and use alternate routes if possible. Drivers are advised to be cautious of workers and equipment in the work zone.
