ALDOT crews and a contractor will work to widen sections of shoulder on SR-227 in Guntersville next week, weather permitting.
Drivers should expect lane closures between Gerald Bryant Drive and Short Creek from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. daily, Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 17.
A pilot car and/or flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone. Please expect delays and plan additional travel time.
The estimated $243,000 maintenance project with contractor Guardian Retention Systems will allow for better guardrail placement along the curvy road.
