Wiregrass Construction completed all paving on SR-68 in Collinsville on Monday, Oct. 26.
Last week, the contractor on the $1 million project finished mainline paving in the 2.4-mile work zone from the city limit to US-11.
Following that, Wiregrass paved transitions to city streets.
Remaining work
Expect intermittent lane closures on SR-68 for further work items. Remaining work includes placement of shoulder stone, installation of permanent stripe and guardrail retrofits at the bridge over Big Wills Creek.
Permanent striping will follow a two-week curing period for the new pavement, as weather and scheduling permit.
