An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) resurfacing project on US-84 in Dothan and Cowarts begins Monday, July 13, weather permitting.
This project includes resurfacing and traffic striping on US-84. Work spans from US-431 to Health Sciences Boulevard in Dothan and from Jester Street to Broad Street in Cowarts.
ALDOT advises drivers to plan for potential lane closures and delays. Please stay alert for workers and equipment throughout the work zone.
The approximately $1.8 million project was awarded to Lewis Incorporated, out of Headland, Ala., who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements. The project is expected to be completed by Winter 2026.
