The Alabama Department of Transportation is close to completing a bridge replacement project in Dallas County on SR-14.
The bridge over Blue Gurth Swamp is in the final stages of replacement with all bridge decks completed.
ALDOT plans to reopen the bridges in early November, weather permitting, after bridge rails and guardrails are constructed and paving and utility work has been completed.
