Beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will close the right lane of US-280 westbound and eastbound in Jefferson County for widening between Shades Creek Parkway and the I-459 interchange.
All travel lanes are expected to re-open at approximately 6 a.m. on Monday, July 14..
These same lane closures will be in place from Monday, July 14, through Friday, July 18.
Motorists are requested to consider using alternate routes, adjust arrival/departure times and observe work zone speed limits.
Motorists should also observe other work zone signs and use extreme caution in this area. ALDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this construction operation to improve Alabama’s roadways.
