The contractor for an Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) resurfacing project began installing cable rail and making repairs to damaged guardrail on US-80 in Phenix City today.
Crews will be working on US-80 from US-280 to the Chattahoochee River Bridge. Work is expected to take approximately two to three weeks.

As of today, the inside lane of the I-85 south bridge will remain closed until repairs are completed.
Repairs to the bridge near exit 38 are expected to take approximately one week.
