The Wheeler Dam will be reduced to one 8-foot-wide lane while TVA refurbishes the bridge deck and replaces bridge joints.

The Tennessee Valley Authority today announced plans for bridge work on Wheeler Dam that will affect traffic on SR-101 beginning Sunday, Oct. 19.

The Wetumpka Municipal Airport received $243,225 in state and federal funds to remove obstructions to the runway 9 approach.

More than 150 high school students from Mobile and Baldwin counties gathered at Coastal Alabama Community College in Bay Minette last week for the UrKeys2Drv Teen Driving Safety Summit.

The US-82 and US-431 intersection relocation in Eufaula begins tomorrow, October 1.

The primary purpose of the project is to enhance safety along the corridor. Currently, US-82 intersects US-431 at a 45-degree angle; this project will reconfigure the intersection to a 90-degree angle. The new roadway will also feature wider shoulders, including two-foot paved shoulders.
