The Alabama Department of Transportation today announced it has awarded over $22,000 in state funding to three municipal airports for improvements.

The Alabama Department of Transportation plans to resurface and place new traffic striping on a stretch of SR-17 from the Aliceville city limits to the junction of CR-5 in Pickens County to improve mobility and safety.
