ALDOT to improve SR-195 and 20th Avenue intersection in Haleyville

The Alabama Department of Transportation plans to install a left turn lane and place new traffic signals at the intersection of SR-195 and 20th Avenue in Haleyville to improve mobility and safety.

The project is expected to begin Friday, July 26 and will continue for approximately three months, weather permitting.

Lane closures are not allowed between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. Additionally, lane closures are not allowed between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. to help with school traffic.

Motorists should consider alternate routes for possible easier access.
