Big crowd attends public forum on Birmingham Northern Beltline

Citizens were able to sign up to speak on the Birmingham Northern Beltline project and have their comments recorded for the public record.

ALDOT reaching out to property owners along Northern Beltline route

The initial phase of construction on the Birmingham Northern Beltline began in late June 2024 between SR-79 and SR-75 in Jefferson County

ALDOT notifies public that engineers working along Northern Beltline route

Engineers and other representatives from the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will be meeting with property owners along the route of the Northern Beltline connecting US-31 to SR-79.

Work underway to open first phase of Birmingham Northern Beltline

The contractor for the Alabama Department of Transportation has begun work to complete the first section of the Birmingham Northern Beltline. This initial phase of construction will be a four-lane highway connecting State Route 79 and State Route 75 in Jefferson County.
