I-65 DMS installed, another planned for tonight

Ozark Safety Services installed this dynamic message sign (DMS) on I-65 on Tuesday, April 7.

A contractor is installing the first dynamic message signs on I-65 in north Alabama this week. One DMS went into place earlier this week, and a second will be installed tonight.

I-65 lane closures planned for traffic camera pole installations

This traffic camera north of the Bethel Road overpass, between Hartselle and Priceville, was one of eight cameras installed on I-65 in a previous project in 2019.

Expect nighttime lane closures on I-65 for installation of traffic camera poles to expand ALDOT’s Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) in Morgan and Limestone counties.

The $2.5 million advanced corridor management project with contractor Ozark Safety Services extends from Exit 334 at SR-67 in Priceville to Exit 354 at US-31 in Athens.
