Work continues on the interchange bridges over I-565 at Town Madison

Expect some travel delays overnight on I-565 westbound near the Town Madison Interchange (Exit 10) in Madison County.

Weather permitting, contractors will install striping and transition travel lanes to their final positions. Lanes were previously shifted to accommodate construction of the westbound off- and on-ramps and flyover bridges.

The concept for modifications to improve safety by converting US-43 at SR-64 to a reduced-conflict intersection.

The Alabama Department of Transportation aims to improve safety at a Lauderdale County intersection using an alternative intersection design.

The $451,098 project, starting this week, will convert the intersection of US-43 and SR-64, north of Killen, to a reduced conflict intersection.

The contractor, Rogers Group, plans to begin work Thursday, weather permitting.
