Traffic shifted onto new SR-1 bridge over Cornhouse Creek in Randolph County

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) shifted traffic onto the new bridge on SR-1 (US-431) over Cornhouse Creek.

ALDOT now begins the next phase of removing the old bridge and completing the remaining work items in the $4.16 million contract.

East Central winter weather updates

UPDATE: Jan. 25 at 7:38 p.m.

The Auburn District is pretreating bridges with potassium acetate, and intersections/steep grades with calcium magnesium acetate and sand/CMA mixture where needed.

They will start with Randolph County and work their way back into South Chambers and Lee Counties as the evening progresses.
