ALDOT resurfacing I-59/20 between Fairfield and Hueytown

Two-mile stretch of I-59/20 is being resurfaced between Fairfield and Hueytown.

An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) resurfacing project to replace an aging section of I-59/20 near Fairfield began Sunday, Feb. 8.

The project will replace two miles of deteriorating asphalt between the Fairfield Boulevard and Valley Road bridges.

More than 60,000 vehicles pass through that section of interstate daily.

Resurfacing project on SR-134 in Henry County begins Monday

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) resurfacing project on SR-134 in Henry County begins Monday, Feb. 9, weather permitting.  

The six-mile includes micro-milling, resurfacing, and traffic stripe on SR-134 from the Dale County line to US-431 in Headland.

New resurfacing project on SR-106 in Crenshaw County begins Monday

The Alabama Department of Transportation resurfacing project on SR-106 in Crenshaw County starts Monday, Jan. 19, weather permitting.

The project will stretch for about 7.7 miles, from Patsaliga Creek Bridge to US-29 in Brantley.  This project begins where the previous SR-106 resurfacing project ended.

Expect daytime patching on I-65 between Priceville, Hartselle

The contractor will perform daytime patching on I-65 between Priceville and Hartselle this week. Crews will mill and pave strip patches to address potholes ahead of winter conditions that would cause further deterioration if left unrepaired.

UPDATE: Daytime lane closures on I-65 resurfacing project continue

Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 4, crews will have temporary lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on I-65 south and north from Pintlala Creek to exit 167 (US-80).

The I-65 resurfacing project in Montgomery County requires additional daytime lane closures due to seasonal and weather conditions.

Resurfacing of SR-24 in Russellville to begin

Rogers Group resurfaced US-43 at the SR-24 interchange in Russellville earlier this year. Monday, the contractor will start resurfacing 5.5 miles of SR-24.

Resurfacing of SR-24 in the Russellville area of Franklin County will begin Monday, Sept. 29, weather permitting.

The $3 million project with contractor Rogers Group includes milling and resurfacing 5.5 miles of SR-24 from east of SR-243 in Russellville to CR-83.

Expect delays due to single-lane closures daily.
