Traffic to detour for about a year for SR-243 bridge replacement

A project to demolish and replace the bridge on SR-243 over Little Bear Creek in franklin County will start in July.

Traffic will detour for about a year during replacement of the bridge on SR-243 over Cedar Creek in Franklin County.

The closure of SR-243 at the creek southeast of Russellville will begin Monday, July 7. ALDOT advises drivers to plan alternate routes in advance and prepare for longer travel times.

SR-91 near Arkadelphia to close for bridge repair

ALDOT will repair the SR-91 bridge over Dorsey Creek starting Friday, Oct. 4.

The Alabama Department of Transportation plans to close SR-91 just south of Arkadelphia in Cullman County for 10 days for a bridge repair.
