During lane closures, northbound US-11/Gault Avenue through traffic will be detoured to First Street to Godfrey Avenue then to Fifth Street NE in Fort Payne.

A sidewalk improvement project on US-11/Gault Avenue in Fort Payne will start Monday, weather permitting.  

The Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) project will install Americans with Disabilities Act-compliant sidewalks and curb ramps from First Street to Third Street North. The project also includes drainage work and curb and gutter replacement.
