RCUTs installed at two north Alabama intersections

At RCUT intersections like the one recently constructed on US-411 at Appalachian Highway in Etowah County, motorists on the main highway can still make left turns, but motorists on the side street must make a right, followed by a U-turn.

Traffic to detour for about a year for SR-243 bridge replacement

A project to demolish and replace the bridge on SR-243 over Little Bear Creek in franklin County will start in July.

Traffic will detour for about a year during replacement of the bridge on SR-243 over Cedar Creek in Franklin County.

The closure of SR-243 at the creek southeast of Russellville will begin Monday, July 7. ALDOT advises drivers to plan alternate routes in advance and prepare for longer travel times.
