ALDOT crews will reinstall guardrail on the newly widened shoulder of SR-227 in Guntersville on Monday, July 20, weather permitting.

Expect a single-lane closure between Gerald Bryant Drive and Short Creek from 7:30 a.m. to about 4 p.m. A pilot car and/or flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone. Please expect delays and plan additional travel time.

Shoulder widening

Contractor Guardian Retention Systems this week completed construction of retaining walls to stabilize the slope and widen sections of shoulder along the highway. The wider shoulder will allow crews to position the guardrail better.
