Daytime lane closure on I-85 North in Macon County planned for Sunday

ALDOT announces grants for thirteen local airports

The Alabama Department of Transportation today announced it has awarded over $700,000 in state funding to thirteen local airports for improvements.

Bessemer Municipal Airport will receive $215,506 from a state grant for airfield pavement maintenance. The airport will provide $71,835 in matching local funds, for a total project value of $287,341.

I-59N closing, traffic shifting near Georgia line

The I-59 on- and off-ramps at Exit 239 (CR-140) at Sulphur Springs will be closed to traffic.

A contractor will close part of I-59 northbound in DeKalb County near the Georgia state line this afternoon for a $41 million roadway reconstruction project.

Resurfacing project on SR-27 in Abbeville begins Tuesday
