The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will host a come-and-go style public involvement meeting at the Springville Middle School to discuss a potential project on US-11 involving plans for roadway, drainage and sidewalk improvements.

The 2024 Crash Facts publication is available on the Drive Safe Alabama website.

Alabama saw a decline in traffic fatalities in 2024, according to the newly released Alabama Crash Facts report available online at the Drive Safe Alabama Website.

The report shows 967 motor vehicle fatalities statewide, down from 975 in 2023. Total crashes also fell, from just over 143,000 in 2023 to right above 140,000 in 2024….

The Wheeler Dam will be reduced to one 8-foot-wide lane while TVA refurbishes the bridge deck and replaces bridge joints.

The Tennessee Valley Authority today announced plans for bridge work on Wheeler Dam that will affect traffic on SR-101 beginning Sunday, Oct. 19.

The Wetumpka Municipal Airport received $243,225 in state and federal funds to remove obstructions to the runway 9 approach.
