Motorists traveling on SR-13 (US-43) north of Creola should expect traffic impacts as crews continue bridge replacement work over Cold Creek.

The project is using Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC)—a method that allows crews to build major bridge components off-site and install them quickly, reducing overall construction time and traffic disruption.

During the project, traffic will use I-65 in lieu of US-31 between Lacon Road and I-65.

An upcoming project to improve US-31 at Lacon in Morgan County will divert traffic to I-65.

The $1.9 million project includes safety widening, concrete slab repairs and replacements, and paving an asphalt overlay. The project extends from the Cullman County line to Lacon Road.

The I-65 Tennessee River Bridges underwent cleaning, painting, and various steel and concrete repairs since the rehabilitation project began in early 2024. Next week, the contractor will remove the traffic shifts that have been in place for most of the project's duration.

Travel lanes will soon return to their normal configuration on the I-65 Tennessee River Bridges.

The lanes on both bridges were shifted about two years ago to provide work areas for a $23.7 million bridge rehabilitation project.

The $1.3 million resurfacing project on SR-207 in Lauderdale County will start here, just south of Anderson Creek, and extend more than seven miles to the Tennessee state line.

Work began today on a $1.3 million resurfacing project on SR-207 in Lauderdale County.

The contractor, Grayson Carter and Son, will mill and resurface 7.6 miles of the two-lane highway from Anderson Creek in the town of Anderson to the Tennessee state line.
