Resurfacing project on SR-10 in Barbour and Henry Counties began today

Mar 06

An Alabama Department of Transportation resurfacing project on SR-10 in Barbour and Henry Counties began today.

The approximate 11-mile project consists of milling, resurfacing, and traffic striping on SR-10 from CR-41 in Blue Springs to just pass CR-25, west of Abbeville.

Lane closures and reduced speed limits are expected throughout the project.  A pilot car will be utilized during lane closures.

Motorists should plan accordingly for delays and be mindful of the people and equipment in the work zone.

The approximately $3 million project was awarded to Wiregrass Construction Company, Inc., out of Dothan, Ala., who had the lowest bid that met the project requirements.  The project is expected to be completed fall 2024.
