ALDOT pretreated most state routes in North Alabama in the lead up to this weekend’s anticipated winters storm.

A temporary bridge will carry traffic over Daniels Branch on SR-273 while ALDOT's contractor demolishes and replaces the existing bridge.

Traffic on SR-273/Blue Pond Road in Cherokee County will cross via a temporary bridge during replacement of the bridge over Daniels Branch, north of Leesburg.

A short diversion road connects the temporary bridge to the highway. The bridge over Daniels Branch was constructed 100 years ago.

Nestled in the Little River Canyon National Preserve, the Little River Canyon bridge on SR-35 connects Cherokee and Dekalb counties.
