Local road projects in Alabama receive $7.6 Million

Governor Kay Ivey today announced more than $7.6 million in funding for local road projects in Alabama, supporting 26 transportation improvement projects across the state. Nighttime resurfacing of SR-255 service roads ahead

Rogers Group will soon start resurfacing the northbound and southbound service roads on SR-255.

Nighttime resurfacing of the SR-255/Research Park Boulevard service roads in Huntsville will begin the evening of Sunday, May 10, weather permitting.

Rogers Group, the contractor on the $1.6 million project, will mill and pave the service roads from north of US-72 to north of SR-53.

Nightly lane closures expected for I-20 resurfacing in Talladega

ALDOT has kicked of an eight-mile resurfacing project on I-20 in Talladega.

Sunday night, the Alabama Department of Transportation kicked off nightly lane closures to start resurfacing eight miles of I-20 in Talladega.  

The work stretches from the Eastaboga Interchange to the H.J. Bentley Jr. Parkway Overpass.

ALDOT hosting public meeting for proposed project in Enterprise

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will host a come-and-go style public involvement meeting at the Enterprise Civic Center to discuss a potential project to install reduced conflict intersections along the corridor of US-84 (Boll Weevil Circle) from SR-248 (Rucker Boulevard) to Coppinville Road.

I-59 northbound exit ramps to close at Chalkville Mountain Road in Trussville

The Chalkville Mountain Road ramps exiting and entering I-59 northbound should reopen by July.

The I-59 widening project in Trussville is shifting into its next significant phase.

Starting on Monday, May 18, weather permitting, ALDOT will close both I-59 northbound ramps at Chalkville Mountain Road (Exit 141).
