CR-87 bridge southbound lane over I-65 remains closed for repairs

Following Tuesday morning’s bridge strike on CR-87 over I-65, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will keep the southbound lane of the CR-87 bridge closed.  Emergency repairs are necessary on the western half of the span over the coming weeks.

Five miles of reconstructed I-59 southbound roadway north of Reece City are ready for traffic.

About five miles of reconstructed I-59 — the first segment of the southbound roadway replaced in northeast Alabama — will open today.

An Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) project on SR-293 (Milly Creek Lane) in Pike Road begins Monday, July 20, weather permitting.

CR-87 at I-10 in Baldwin County is closed for approximately three to four weeks while crews raise the bridge and rebuild the roadway approaches.

Motorists traveling in Baldwin County should plan ahead with CR-87 closed at I-10 for bridge work. A temporary detour is in place around the closure.

A new traffic signal will be installed at the intersection of SR-104 and St. Michael Way in Fairhope.

Dauphin Island Bridge Lane Closures Update

The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will temporarily pause construction-related lane closures on the Dauphin Island Bridge (SR-193) through July 22. This will help keep traffic moving during one of the busiest travel periods of the year.
