The Southeast Region (Autauga, Barbour, Bullock, Butler, Coffee, Covington, Crenshaw, Dale, Dallas, Elmore, Henry, Houston, Geneva, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Montgomery, Pike, and Russell counties) currently has no issues.
Jan. 9 – Pre-treatment
Crews pretreated major routes in the River Region up to Chambers County.
In preparation for Winter Storm Cora, the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) is ramping up its preparation efforts in advance of the approaching cold airmass. ALDOT crews began pretreatment on select routes in some areas of the state today and pretreatments will continue and expand across much of the state Wednesday and Thursday.
