The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) has won 11 quality pavement awards from the Alabama Asphalt Pavement Association (AAPA).

ALDOT took home the honors during the 66th annual Quality Pavement Awards at the Association’s Officer Installation Luncheon and Pavement Awards Ceremony on Dec. 12, 2025.

The public involvement meeting for the proposed SR-167 widening project from Salem Road to SR-51 in Enterprise is indefinitely postponed. The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) will notify the community when a new date is scheduled.

On Wednesday, Nov. 12, the Alabama Department of Transportation will briefly close the bridge on SR-81 (Tuskegee Street) over the railroad in Notasulga. 

The bridge will be closed for maintenance repairs at approximately 8:00 a.m. Wednesday and will reopen at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 13.

Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 4, crews will have temporary lane closures from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on I-65 south and north from Pintlala Creek to exit 167 (US-80).
